Serious thought into this one for ya.

Okay recently I posted about trying out a silicone and saw its horrific affects. Well I tossed a decent bunch of cheato in the tank and to my suprise it took off. My question would be this.....after fresh water rinsing that cheato, would it be okay to use it in my sump on my DT OR would it hold something toxic to the aquarium.
I would personally think that if it were rinsed throughly and maybe even sat for a few days in WC water or something it would be just fine.
Whats your analysis?

Hoss, I'm under the impression that Chaeto thrives on Nitrates, Silicates and Phosphates in SW.  I'm with you that a FW
bath to thoroughly remove all the waste water and such, should do the trick and that chaeto is ready to go into your fuge or DT as needed. Stan
