thought about taking down my 24gal biocube and replacing it with the twenty long i drilled a long time ago, has a 20g sump, and use it as a seahorse/zoanthid tank.
as cool as aquarium nerds can get.

Why not do both? you can put the two tanks into one system.

I think it would be fine, the ponies like to be able to get higher from my experience but its not a necessity in some species. Tak raised as you know is the only way to go and tank size would be fine. Be ready to do alot of feedings. If I did a seahorse tank over again I would go bare bottom , if its gonna be a dedicated zoa, pony tank just make sure they have some sort of plant rather it be real or fake to hitch to. Sounds like a cool idea and I look forward to you coming this way to grab your ponies....hint hint
What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss

haha...def...i was debating the bare bottom idea...is that a good idea on a zoa tank? and keep the sand in the sump? i have plenty of foliage growing int eh cube.

and to answer ur question on the why not do both...i have limited space...so only one can be set up. i have three tanks and mus stick to three...i like the longs being i have a dedicated sump that is as large as the DT to grow cheato and pods.
