Got A New Macro Lens
« on: May 16, 2009, 09:49:15 PM »
I just purchased a macro lens for my Canon XSi.  Here's some pictures from it.  Be nice!  I'm still learning! ;D

Red Shroom.

Kind of "angelic" looking, eh?

This one's kind-of cool.

I used-to hate zoas, but they like my tank. ;D

Whaddya'll think?

If we're ever in the same place at the same time, and your camera disappears, I'm going to apologize now. LOL that thing takes some sweet pics, I want to use it to get a macro shot of my clown.

Man, I really appreciate that, J!  I haven't even touched a manual, or done any research on the thing, yet.  Just kind-of winging it.  I'm sure, as time progresses, I'll get better at taking these types of shots.

My wife took pic #1, 2, and 5.  I didn't do anything but crop and mess with contrasts, on some of them.  The snail shot is with the actinics on, so that's probably why that purplish color showed up on the shell.  Either, way, they all turned out pretty nicely. :)

Thanks again, bro!

as if I needed something else to spend money on . Very nice pics. Looks like you will have plenty of entries for the potm contests
What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss

great start.  If not using one already, I highly suggest using a tripos when taking macro shots.  its almost a must to get really sharp shots.
