Tube Snails?
« on: May 04, 2009, 09:10:23 PM »
I was telling Michael and Russ on chat the other day about these Tube things with spider web looking stuff coming out of them, and said I would post some pic's latter.

    So here they are
Are these thows snail things you were telling me about?

If you look close you can see the tiny head in side of the tube (it sucked in when I got close to the tank)

If you want a bigger pic, let me know and I'll crop them.

I think, unless Im istaken they are a common filter feeding worm that is benificial to your tank. If I remember correctly there is some bad ones but I dont thing t hose are them. I have some that even grow on snail shells and spit out the "web" to catch food, waste whatever they can use as food.
What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss

spaghetti worms tend to be in the sand. Those look to have a calcerous shell tube. Vermitted is the answer +1 to H20we for reminding me I had a nice chart

I have several of those in my tank. I have to move the corals away from them because their mucus net irritates the corals not a big deal though. Its always cool to see new organisms in the tank.
