What does your husbandry consist of?

What and how often do you do those "chores" that help keep your tank beautiful?
Water changes?
Filter media changes?
Skimmer dumping?
etc
What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss

I personally have been trying to do 2 water changes a month. My water stays pretty clean so I only have to empty my skimmer every few weeks, during which I toothbrush the collection cup. (no I dont use my wifes toothbrush hehe). I also tend to go about 2 weeks before really cleaning the side glass real well and run a mag float every other day or so. I havent had my NextReef media reactor for long so I havent had to change anything in it yet. and about every 2 months I pull the bubble trap sponge and rinse it thoroughly.

- 5 gal water change once a week
- change carbon in my media reactor every second week
- clean skimmer cup every couple days (even if there isn't much in it)
- clean glass daily
- clean T5 bulbs and reflectors every 2 weeks
- check for and leaks and make sure aqua lifter pump is working.....every hour or so......LOL

I do 25-30g water changes a week with my 150g.  I've been using Reef Crystals but I have some Oceanic salt that I'm going to try next.  I go through a lot of salt, all things considered.

I don't run carbon on my big tank, but I do on the nano.  I change that out once every 2 weeks.  I also do 4g water changes (it's a biocube 8) every week with water from my big tank.  Working good so far... as in... no dead corals. LOL!

I've never cleaned my reflectors off... I may want to check into that. (Thanks Chris!) :)

Chris, Josh tends to set a new tank up every few weeks so his water changes come from when he spills or needs to fill more tank haha

I envy you guys that do little or no water changes or maintenance. I've always had to do a lot. Also, schedule it out and keep it posted by the phone in the kitchen so I don't forget anything. lol
Here's mine.
Sun: Change filter socks
Mon: Water Change, Check Sal., Add kalk, fill ro/di, Change filter socks, clean glass & skimmer cup
Tue: test-Alk,Ca
Wed: Change filter socks
Thurs: nothing
Fri: Water change, check sal., change filter sock, clean glass
Sat: Clean bulbs, reflectors
1st: change GAC, GFO, test po4, no3, mg, clean skimmer body & pwr heads
15th: change GFO test po4, no3
6 months: remove & clean main pump
10 months: change T5/vho bulbs
12 months: change MH bulbs

In between all that I find time to enjoy the tank....lol

seriously its true...i dont know how ive gotten away with it but i have. all my stuff is growin like mad and i dont lose anything unless i do something to lose it. idk how its working but it is. of course it is a 125gal tank so idk if that much water volume has anything to do with it. i do topoffs once every 3 days, and i add iodide, strontium and molybenium every now and then...thats it. i feed rarely both coral and fish, but i dont have a lot of fish.
