Some new THINGS in my Tank
« on: January 16, 2010, 03:52:53 PM »
Hi all.
I found some new things and I think they are OK.
I have 3 fairly big - abt. 1/2 in. - snails which at one time were id'd by Hosser as Stomatela snails. Haven't seen them before but must have been there since I put the last batch of LR in.

The other thing I have found is a small anemone type of thing. It doesn't seem to be aptasia. It is light brown colour with lighter rings around. It is not out in the open. It is under small ledge on some very old rock I have had for years. I'll have to look at pics to try to id.

Ok, so the pics show that I do have aiptasia.  It would be easy to get that piece of rock out so will do the lemon juice thing asap. I'll keep you posted.

Also check out majano, and pest anenomes, I think one is called a ball nem, they are cool looking but pests.
What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss

Well, It worked.

I dug out the rock to where I could get at it easily.  Filled the syringe with lemon juice.  Injected the aiptasia, and within seconds it was dead.

As of now, I can't find the slightest trace of where it was.  It has simply disappeared.  Magic.
